The iron-structured console bridge that connects Gellért square with Fővám square is a remarkable structure. Its construction started at the end of the 19th century. The bridge was blown up in WW2 and was the first to be reconstructed after the war. Its present-day green steel structure is conspicuous from a distance. The bridge has tram, car, pedestrian and bicycle traffic as well.
