Nyugati Railway Station

10 pictures

The imposing building of the station constructed in 1877 has become a key element of the city landscape, and is one of the most famous sights in Budapest. The iron structure was designed by W.A. de Serres, an architect of the Eiffel studio in Paris. The building, which still operates as a railway station, is in good condition. Its facade is characterized by the iron structure that holds the glass panels and the brick buildings on its two sides.
